Job Description

Perform preventive maintenance on fixtures such as blocked drain lines, repairing leaking faucets, replacing worn or bad fixtures, etc. . Read meters and report water usage. Install and maintain pipes and fittings including assembly, cutting, threading. Perform plumbing, heating and pipe fitting repair and replacement including high-pressure steam systems, hot water heating systems, drainage systems, etc. Maintain culinary water systems and test and repair backflow prevention devices. Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies including ordering replacement materials, filling out associated forms, repairing damaged or broken equipment etc. Prioritize duties, engineer methods of repair, computer/smart phone entry of time records, daily processing of work orders on the computer/smart phone. Be able and willing to respond 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed. Be able to complete other duties as assigned.

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
• Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
• Follow building plans and blueprints.
• Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies
• PIRB registered
• Be able to make quotes/invoices
• Have a valid D/L

• Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings & roofs
• Fits/install window frames, doors & door frames,door hardware
• Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures
• Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.

Carpenter Qualifications / Skills:

• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
• Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety
• High school diploma is an asset
• 6 years of experience in commercial or residential carpentry
• Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications
• Have a valid D/L

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Carpenter to cut, fabricate, and install wooden and other structures according to specifications. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products.

Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
• Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures

Requirements:

• Proven experience as carpenter
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
• Good understanding of basic math
• Good physical condition and endurance
• High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required
